Meta-owned company is working on adding a couple of new features to it desktop Whatsapp. The upcoming features brings added security to the instant messaging app. The report clarify that Whatsapp will add two-step verification to the desktop client, as well as PIN while logging in.
According to a report, WhatsApp users will soon have the ability to enable two-step verification on the desktop client. Users will be able to enable or disable the two-step verification, change PIN, and change email address on the desktop app.
Also, when registering a phone number, WhatsApp will lets users secure their account by adding a personalised PIN for logging in to the account.
Currently this feature is unavailable on WhatsApp, however, the report noted that there are plans to release the feature for the WhatsApp Web/ desktop.
