User can now create Google Duo Account without the use of phone number. The report from Android police noted that this option is only available if you’re using the Android version of the app on tablets, while other users still need to use their phone number to create their account.
According to a report by Android Police, Android tablet users that download Google Duo app on their device can now sign up with just email address and are not required to provide their phone number for verification.
Furthermore, Google Duo app will still requests access to the contact list, camera, and microphone to function properly on the tablet. To recall, Google debut ‘Reachable by email’ feature on the Google Duo app that comes in the app version 87, and is available for both Android and iOS users .
At this point, the feature will be incredibly awesome to Android Tablet user as they can easily sign up with email, and connect with friends through Email.
How to Enable Reachable by Email on Google Duo
To activate this feature, head straight to Settings > Account > select Reachable with Email Address. After enabling it, users can “contact” (Duo call) other users via their email address (Note: if the feature is activated by the user).
