The Hong Kong-based Smartphone manufacturers Tecno has unveiled its new mobile via Tecno Spark 5 and Tecno spark 5 Air. Both series are coupled with 5000mAh battery and are successor of Tecno spark 4. Tecno Spark 5 series which consists of Spark 5 and Spark 5 Air are identical when looking at the specifications.
However, the major difference between the two phones is the screen size. Tecno spark 5 featured 6.6-inch, while the Tecno spark 5 Air is 7.0-inches. Additionally, Spark 5 comes with quad rear cameras while the Spark 5 Air has three cameras on the rear.

Funny enough, Both the phones pack 2GB RAM which is outdated in today’s world of smartphones. Traditionally, the company released both phones in four eye-catching colors which are Ice Jadeite, Misty Grey, Spark Orange, and Vacation Blue color options.
Tecno Spark 5 Specifications
Design & Display
On the specifications, the mobile features a 6.6-inch HD+ (720×1,600 pixels) display. The Tecno Spark 5 measures 164.7×76.3×8.75mm.
Software & Hardware
The Tecno Spark 5 runs Android 10 with HiOS 6.1, however, the processor makes is not clear and the phone comes with 2GB RAM. The Smartphone packs a 5000mAh battery with no fast charging support. The phone comes with 32GB inbuilt storage and it is unclear whether it is expandable, but we believe it will.
Spark 5 Camera
As for the cameras, the quad rear camera setup of Tecno Spark 5 includes a 13-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 aperture, two 2-megapixel cameras for closeup shots and bokeh effect, and a fourth AI camera.
The waterdrop-style notch on the front panel houses the 8-megapixel selfie camera along with dual-LED flash.
Sensor & Connectivity
Tecno Spark 5 connectivity options include 3.5mm audio jack, USB-Type C port, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. The phone also comes with an Ambient Light sensor, Proximity sensor, and Accelerometer. There’s a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel and the phone supports Face Unlock.

Design & Display
Spark 5 Air on the series comes with a bigger 7-inch HD+ (720×1,640 pixels) display. The phone measures 174.64×79.27×9.05mm.
Software & Hardware
The phone runs Android 10 (Go edition) with HiOS 6 on top. Just like Spark 5, the processor makes is unclear and there’s 2GB RAM. Internal storage capacity is also 32GB which is expected to be expandable. Tecno Spark 5 Air also packs a 5000mAh battery with no fast charging support.
Spark 5 Air Camera
In terms of cameras, the triple camera setup includes a similar 13-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 aperture. The details about the second camera are unknown and lastly, there’s an AI camera.
Upfront is a waterdrop-style notch on the front-panel which houses an 8-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash.
Sensor & Connectivity
Connectivity options and the sensors on Tecno 5 Air are similar to Tecno Spark 5. There’s a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel and also supports Face Unlock.

Tecno Spark 5, Tecno Spark 5 Air Price
The new Tecno smartphones were launched in Ghana. Tecno Spark 5 is priced at GHS 719 (roughly N49,000) for 2GB + 32GB storage variant, while the price for the Tecno 5 Air remains unknown.
