Microsoft has officially launched the Family Safety app for all users. The app has been available in limited preview since May and is finally being made available for all on Android and iOS.
Microsoft previously introduces a Math Solver app that solves a series of different mathematics questions, with solution steps being made available. The Microsoft Family Safety App allows users to monitor and manage their family members’ screen usage time and activity to ensure healthier digital habits.
Well looking at the supported features, it is designed to protect the family’s digital, Mental, and physical safety. Using the Family Safety App, users can add filters to limit or block browsing on specific sites eg Porn websites. They can also receive reports on app usage and screen time.
One of the important features of the Microsoft Family Safety app is that it allows you to set up screen time limits for each app. This will help children to spend the required time on a device for learning purposes without using certain apps or games. You can also decide if the time limits for the application are for weekdays, weekends, or daily purposes, and from what time to what time it is valid.
For example, you can limit a game like Pubg at night but allow your child to use it in the day. The app is one of the best, most especially, during this time Work, school, and recreational activities have been shifted to phones and laptops.
There is also a location tracking feature on the Microsoft Family Safety App. The Location sharing lets you see each family member’s last known location on a map. You can also favorite locations such as ‘home’ which will allow you to know if everyone is at home.
Last and not least is the ability of users to be able to approve purchases from Microsoft. Microsoft Family Safety users will get purchase approval requests via email before a family member buys something from the Microsoft Store.
Don’t think of swapping devices because of the Microsoft Family Safety app syncs across Windows, Xbox, and Android.
