With the introduction of the new iPhone 13 series, Apple has discontinued some of the old models of the previously launched iPhone series. Now, the company has abandoned iPhone XR and iPhone 12 Pro.
According to a report by MacRumors, the launch of iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max prompted the Cupertino-based giant to improve its iPhone products. As of now, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max have been removed from the company’s official online store.
Although, these models are provided in the form of refurbished units. For those who don’t know, discontinuation is the norm for the brand, especially for the Pro variant that was discontinued with the release of the latest series.
In addition to the iPhone 12 series models, the iPhone XR, which was launched three years ago, was finally delisted in 2018. Although the above models are no longer available, models based on iPhone 12, iPhone 11, and iPhone SE are still available as low-cost options.
The prices of all these devices have also fallen. From the price point of view, the iPhone SE is priced at 399 US dollars, while the iPhone 11 is priced at 499 US dollars. Similarly, the iPhone 12 mini is now priced at US$599, and the iPhone 12 is priced at US$699, which is the same as the iPhone 13 mini.
