However, the Chinese Electronic Giant strikes with a shocking record ever of it time during this COVID-19 pandemic. According to counterpoint Research, Huawei became the world’s largest smartphone maker surpassing Samsung for the first time in the month of April 2020.
A post on Gizchina confirmed that Neil Shah, the VP of Research at Counterpoint send a mail to them about the new record by Huawei. According to Gizchina, Huawei becomes the world’s number one smartphone maker with a 19% ahead of Samsung 17% market share in April 2020.
This achievement can be said to be possible because of the patriotic Chinese consumers who have given preference to the company’s products ever since the ban was imposed by the US government.
Afterter the breakout of Coronavirus, market’s has been shutdown round the globe which affect sales of Samsung in markets like India, the USA, Latin America, and parts of Europe. Meanwhile, Chinese economy started recovering which raise Huawei to where they are Today.
In the other way round, Huawei success is not guaranteed to continue for months to come as the economy around the globe is starting to recover. At least, Samsung’s shipments are expected to recover too.
