Firstly, confirm that your phone’s cellular data /Wi-Fi is enabled and make sure you have an active internet plan and also check if your sound profile isn’t set to silent.
Here are some steps to fix WhatsApp Call issues
1. Disable Battery Saver
Firstly check if your phone has the battery saver feature enabled. This feature is available in almost every Android smartphone to save a bit of a battery when need.
The Battery Saver disabled background using apps and activities to save battery and you can disable it easily. If turned on, kindly follow the instructions to turn it off.
Steps to disable battery saver
Open settings on your Android phone and look for Battery settings using the search bar given above/ below depending on your mobile. There, you will find the Battery saver option. Click on it to disable the schedule when the battery is low.
2. Force Stop And Clear Cache
Once you use an app for a longer time, the app creates cache files which sometimes make the app lag. Sometimes apps stops functioning properly because of a lot of cache files.
How to force stop App and Clear Cache
Go to settings >Apps and Notifications, Select All Apps > WhatsApp > Force Stop >OK. Once the app is stopped, you can easily clear the cache of the app.
To Clear Cache, go to the WhatsApp app info page in settings. You will see an option called storage & cache, click it and you will see option to execute the Clear cache of your WhatsApp.
3. Call Notification
Here also can also be one of the reasons your WhatsApp don’t ring when locked. Kindly make sure that you call notification for WhatsApp is enabled. To check that, all you need to do is tap and hold the WhatsApp icon in the app drawer.
In the app shortcuts, tap the app info (i) icon to go to the app info page.
Scroll down to notification option, there you will find a call notifications toggle, then check that if it is enabled. You can disable and re-enable it once just to be sure.
4. Update Google Play Service
Most times Google play service caused Whatsapp to stop showing call notifications. To fix this, all you need to do is go to the settings > Apps > Google play services and scroll to the bottom page it will open the Google play store page for the play service app. Then you can check if it needs an update or not.
5. Reinstall WhatsApp
This is the last resort for you if all the above methods didn’t work out positive. You can uninstall the WhatsApp from your phone and reinstall it from Google play store. I will advise you to restart your phone before installing the WhatsApp again.
