Finally coming to an end as WhatsApp updated it’s mobile device support by including Windows phone platform. The update was done yesterday being Tuesday (7/5/2019) on its blog post when WhatsApp noted to terminate it’s support on Windows phone.

This time around, it is not just version but rather the either windows smartphone. This announcement will officially take effect on 31st December, 2019 this year. This time it is a total shutdown just as it was done on Java phone’s year(s) ago.

If this goes accordingly, it simply means that in 1st January, 2020 Windows Phone users will not be able to use WhatsApp on their devices.

WhatsApp said that it’s last update for Windows will be released on June. Windows users can continue enjoying their WhatsApp till the last day of this year 2019. The WhatsApp blog also notes that the app will stop working on old versions of Android (v2.3.7 and older) and iOS (iOS 7 and older) on February 1, 2020.
