Do you remember Google Podcasts that was released on Android since 2018? Finally it arrived on Apple’s iOS as well. The Google podcasts iOS version come similar with the Android version design. Among others, google is also bringing support for subscriptions on Google Podcasts Web version.
The launching/ announcement of the Google podcasts being available for iOS is a wonderful thing, but will this play a role to the world primary goal via Helping to Reduce the Spreading of Covid-19 pandemic?
Still on the app, Google further explained that the new look will “make it easier” for users to discover podcasts while simultaneously allowing them “customise listening.”
Google said: “The Home tab features a feed of new episodes and gives you quick access to your subscribed shows. When you select an episode you want to listen to, you’ll now see topics or people covered in that podcast, and you can easily jump to Google Search to learn more.”
The Search engine gaint said that the new Explore tab will display new shows and episode recommendations based on the users’ interests. The podcast listeners can “browse popular podcasts in categories such as comedy, sports, and news,” in this section.
Podcasts app on iOS also allows users to queue up and auto-download episodes similar with the Android version of the app. It is still unclear whether Apple iPad users will receive the iPadOS-version of Google Podcasts or not.

iOS users can download the Google podcasts iOS version from the Apps Store. Furthermore, Google has also announced that it is adding support for subscriptions on the Web version of Google Podcasts. This simply means that user can now listen to or subscribe to new podcasts using Google Podcasts on Android, iOS, and the Web.
