How to Disable WhatsApp Photos, Videos from Showing on Gallery
Android:
For Android users, follow the instructions accordingly.
While on your WhatsApp screen, Click the Three dots on the top Right of the app and select Settings from the navigation that showed up.

On the next screen, click on Chats option.
Now, you will see ‘Media Visibility‘ option is is toggle on By default, Kindly Turn it Off and you’re good to go.
Once this is done accordingly, all Memes, Gifs, Pictures, Videos that was sent on group chat will be only on the app and won’t appear on your phone gallery.
Iphone:
On iPhone or iPad, you can restrict all the downloaded WhatsApp images from appearing in the main gallery either through iOS’ Privacy Settings or through WhatsApp itself, given below.
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Scroll down and click on the Privacy option.
- Now, tap Photos and disable the toggle for WhatsApp.
Alternative
Launch WhatsApp and head over to Chats.
Here, turn off the toggle next to “Save to Camera Roll.”
Doing so will stop WhatsApp images and videos from appearing in your iPhone’s gallery. The Privacy Setting can also be used to hide pictures from other social media apps like Instagram, Facebook, Skype, etc.
