You can make use of the private DNS AdBlock method alongside your normal VPN app smoothly without any problem. Unfortunately the private DNS option can’t be found on Android 8 and below as of checked. However, the options are seen in Android 9 and above. Although I only checked from Android 10 and later.
How to Block Ads on Android using Private DNS
This method is very easy and simple that even a child who can operate smartphone will be able to do it. Kindly follow up the procedure below.
1: Open up your phone settings and click on Search box available on your phone.
2: Type in “Private DNS” for it to highlight out the private DNS for easy access.
3: Click on the Highlighted Private DNS for a pop-up to slide up. Select “private DNS provider Hostname“. In the blank box available, input dns.adguard.com and click save.
That’s it! Open that app that has series of annoying ads pop-up and see how all of it has disappear.
Although this private DNS AdBlock is very powerful, however, the private DNS AdBlock doesn’t apply to YouTube video Ads. Also bear in mind that this post is for education purpose and nothing more.
