We are yet to have 5G around the world, whereas the Chinese are already moving to the 6G network. The present fastest 5G network was made available of few mobile phones later 2019, which many companies are expected to launch compatible smartphones to support the 5G network this year. However, the Chinese ministry of science and technology is already working on a 6G network in which two groups have been mapped out for the development of future networks.
The 6G speeds are tout to reach 1 terabyte per second or approximately 8,000 times the speed of 5G. One of the groups is made up of several executives from the sector ministries concerned. They include up to 37 experts from universities, research institutes and technology companies.
